Places shown in this video is not from the Stockhoml archipelago! They're mostly from within Stockholm City; for example Djurgården, Strömkajen, Stadshuset, Strandvägen, Riddarfjärden, etc. The end of the movie shows pictures from the castle of Drottningholm. The castle is located in the lake Mälaren, west of Stockholm City. The actual archipelago is located east of Stockholm and it appears as none of the fotage in this movie is done there.

What I was trying for was a simple folk melody, but done with a percussive accompaniment that mimicked the boats that chug around Stockholm. The splashing sounds are actual splashes, treated to sound more like percussion. I wanted the music to drive the thing along without being too intrusive. Sorry you don't like it.

Wow this is great...incredible job dude! I have to agree with tondimitri on this that sergei nakariakov has done the best performance of carnival that I've heard...but with you its all there...just needs a little more cleaning up in dynamics and such. The band is great too.

Excellent performance. I'm 100% with Elliot84. It is easy to said that he has problems with the dynamics but he was playing in a street and you heard the sound of the camera but you dont know what he was hearing. The performance it is not perfect but it is excellent. I apreciate the effort to perform that music in a street. My respects. Bravo.

i liked the little pause at the end. nice touch. personally i thought the tonguing was alittle too seperated, but it probably was bc u were in the middle of a street. id like to hear it in a concert hall with some nice reverb. and to me the rotary looks like its harder to play the fourth variation on, he has to press the keys fairly hard, or maybe thats just how he does it, idk. anyway, goodjob

You should try a rotary - the ways are much shorter and fast playing gets easier. I'm amazed by all You people claiming the pistons would be regular and easier to play ??? Have You ever tried a good rotary trumpet ? Maybe one the excellent manufactures like Thein, Schagerl or Lechner ? Give it a try, You'll be surprised :-)

The tuba or euphonium player who sounded like he was warming up despite the group playing in the 2nd to last and last variation was quite distracting. This is some outstanding playing by the soloist. I am impressed but how clean he played on a rotary... which I would imagine is very difficult to do.
