Yes I did realize that, I was 13-14 at the time. I've been to Cancun 7 times, I've only ever swam w/ the dolphins once. Last time I was there I saw 2 penned dolphins penned apart from each other pass a ball back and forth over the dock that seperated them for over a 30min. It was the most depressing thing I've ever seen. There's only a chainlink fence between them & the sea. And like I said, I will ever do it again. I'd much rather swim w/ wild dolphins or simply see a wild whale from a boat.

I swam w/ dolphins in Mexico and honestly it wasn't as good as I thought it would be. They did all these ticks with me, it was cool and all. But the dolphin was simply doing tricks for food like it does everyday. I would of rather skipped the tricks and just interacted with the dolphin on its own terms. Which is why if I every do anything with dolphins again. It would be too swim with them in the wild. even if I can't touch them I feel that would be much more rewarding.

Yes it would be ideal if they could live in the ocean, but seaworld like zoo's does serve a purpose. These animals are ambassadors. When hundreds of thousands of children and adults see these amazing creatures they are more inclined to protect those living in the wild. Look at these orcas. They are so lethargic. They barely leap at all - it's kind of more of a side slap... they aren't very fast and even you noticed that. What makes wild orcas and even Sea World's orcas faster and more energetic than these guys?? Do the SW Kamagowa orcas not get enough food or exercise? Is it something to do with the size of their tank? Think about it. There must be a reason that they act so differently than other orcas. Even Lolita is more speedy than they are!!

He must've been bored out of his skull. Just because someone is depressed doesn't mean they will just die. You know that! And just because YOU think they are happy doesn't mean they are. Typically, wild animals, such as wolves, cetaceans, and elephants, are more 'depressed' than 'elated' to be living in captivity. You are right. Out of Sea World Kamagowa's six orcas, three are from the wild. Many more orcas have been captured by Kamagowa but they have died. The captures are brutal, stressful, and separate closely knit family bonds *wild orcas remain with their families for life!* In captivity, these animals 'make a living' and earn their food by performing these monotonous circus shows for people's entertainment..... pathetic.

They dont need to be "happy" to breed. Fighting pitbulls breed. Animals are bred in factory farms... those are two extreme examples that prove that. Additionally, their tanks are quite small and you know that... their back tanks are smaller than the show pool. And you said, if they would be dead if they weren't 'fine' - well, just about a year or two ago, that young orca named Sarah died there!

magemystic is correct. I've been to Sea World for their Adventure Camps where they take you behind the scenes and tell/show you everything they do for their animals. The only animals they take from the wild are injured ones, especially manatees which they are trying to save from going extinct. They also rehabilitate sea turtles but sadly some can't be released again because they are too injured and would certainly die. I hate it when people say Sea World is cruel.

We have annual passes. If you go after 6pm, the longest line is 5 min! Sure you have less time in the park, but you get to do more than if you were there all day waiting in the lines !

actually the best waterpark ive been to is in a remote area of the mexican jungle near cancun. but you have to take an ATV tour to get to it, but its amazing, full of natural lazy rivers through underground caves, waterslides that weave thru the jungle, and the scariest zip-line ive ever done, but for the rest of the world there's seaworld.

Went there 8 days ago it was ok but if you have been to typhoon lagoon and blizzard beach you wont b blown away with this waterpark, its a good water park, the dolphin idea is different n pretty unique but if you dnt look in the right place quick enough u wont c the dolphins coz u go so quick, but u av to go on it! good day overall tho until a storm hit at 3:00pm n the park was closed! lmao
