hi Gordon, do you know how to remove the dead pixel from this rebel? i just found that dead pixel stayed in my pic. I've read a comment from the net suggest me to set the manual sensor cleaning mode for enough time (30-60 seconds) for the program to checkout the whole pixel map. is there any other way?

Those two Camera's are pretty alike. It usually comes down to if you like Canon's or Nikon's. If you don't care then I'd say... The Nikon for Quality Photos and The Canon For Sports and convenience. Since the Nikon's body is built bigger the Canon is a bit smaller for the hands. Also the Nikon D80 has great functions, the Canon Rebel XSi has easier functions. It's pretty close the choice is yours. A great site for comparing D-SLR's is dpreview (dot com)

What's the doubt? The d60 is almost the same as d40X... The canon 450d has live view!! Canon takes it all the way! I got it today and i just can't stop shooting pictures.

Hi I mean what you were showing at 4:30 you kept pushing the button and the mirror didn't flip until you released the button.Even though i keep holding the button the mirror flips and doesn't stay as you showed.Hmm.. Thanks

I can't decide between this and the D60. Overall I would say the XSI performs better. But I don't like the way it feels, the D60 feels sturdier.

Great review! Convinced me,got it today! :) This camera is unbelievable!!! I got a question,why in quick mode when i keep holding the release button the mirror still flips back and at your demonstration it didn't?!Maybe they upgraded that at the newer firmware to make the shooting in this mode faster?Thanks!
