It's a big wave, but not a freak wave. Do you have an idea what'a freak wave ? A freak wave is a wave that could sink a supertanker or at least cut a cargo in two pieces. A freak wave is a 15 meter wave at least... they were thought to be a legend not so long ago.

Carol Cleveland at her best.I think I took a few cold showers, 6 to be exact- after seeing that. I caught Pnemounia and was hospitalized 3 weeks as a result. Oddly enough I still look back on that with pleasant memories :) Okay, that was mostly a lie, but C.C. did do powerful things to a lad who had never seen such a sexy display on tv up until that point! I thought you were talking about Connie Booth's laugh - I've read in The Pythons Autobiography (and also Michael was talking about it in some interview) that Connie, John Cleese's wife, was often there in the audience and her laugh was very... well, original. And I think it's the one you can hear in the Marriage Guidance Counsellor sketch, a moment after Carol's and Eric's disappearance - absolute silence and then Connie's "WHOOOOH! WHOOOOH!". But the laugh you're talkin about sounds different;)

That appears to be commercial tow boat more than a Navy or coast guard vessel. Perhaps if a tow line could have been fixed before drifting into the impact zone things may have worked out better. The skipper of the powerboat went in...it did not work out. Poor judgment or brave? Rouge wave or near sighted?

What a shambolic rescue. This would not happen in the UK. The rescue boat would be self-righting. The helicopter should have wired a man down to the casualty and not flown so low as to endanger flight crew and stricken vessel. Long live the RNLI.

When I first heard this song, I had a similar reaction to the one this actor had. This isn't the Loggins that I grew up listening to. Around the time I heard this song, Footloose had come out and by then, it seemed that Kenny Loggins was hellbent on proving he could "rock". It went over well with the publio, but it alienated me from his music for a while.

Actually, there is a similar vibe to A Bit of Fry and Laurie; the sketches are nicely balanced between erudition and absurdism, make a lot of joke about performance itself and the two guys complement each other in a similar way. I think these guys are slightly better actors and can be quite tragic as well.

what is the spec of computer that westport use to creat and render their models in?? We used to work with large models (7000+ parts) and our computer will take forever to load and render. we use xeon quad-core with 3GB of ram and a very good graphic card but it would still be a nightmare. this boat must have over 10000+ parts and it didnt seem like it was slowing the computer down at all? it would be great if someone knows the specs of their computer...

Westport really does turn over a big boat every 18 months (100 ft+). Because they are using molded hulls, that cuts down their production quite a bit vs a metal hull which requires extensive fairing which takes lots of time and money to do.

just aprreciate it for what it is! its a massive engineering acheivement 70knots for a yacht is amazing and it is also incredible looking with all the carbon fiber and wood decking on the front, its a masterpiece! just because it uses petrol like a quintessentially good boat should, doesnt mean its bad! if your an environmentalist who hasnt many friends, then dont buy one!
