Googlemaps can show you the route and track your vehicle along that route in real time. If you miss a turn it will show your deviation from the chosen route. It's down to you to get back on route. If you're brain dead I guess turn by turn voice instruction is important as well as recalculations of the original route due to your complete lack of ability to follow a blue line on a screen :D

apple sdk license forbids live gps tracking with directions. hence, why google maps can not tell the driver the next turn or if he missed a turn or if he made a wrong turn. and so far there seems to be no developer who is willing to hack the iphone 3g.

Probably, but Apple probably won't allow it on the App Store. Also the software would need to incorporate the iPhone 3G GPS module, not the one on this iPhone. Nice vid pal :D
