Whoever said God has to be an almighty being, in philosophy it analysed that God could of just been a savior for a group of people a long time before Religion. Say a person teaches unknown skills to a tribe then the people begin to worship him, yet as time goes on this people change parts of the story and make him seem more herioc. Thats basically what religion is anyway, God, the creator made habitat for humans and as time has gone on different religions have all had there own say on things.
