I aggree with funabisenu, very offensive comments and not yogic at all. If this is how you feel about yoga you shouldn't even be watching yoga videos. Yoga is also about karma so think about that for a bit.

kittem, If you can calm yourself a bit, simply look up the Sanskrit/Hindu word "yoga." Use a dictionary and encyclopedia. Get any book on comparative religions and see what is Yoga. And, Yoga is not about race (I never said that) it is about religion and that religion is Hinduism. You can ignore the facts, but then it is you who is ignorant.

It isn't Hindu, not all Hindu people practice Yoga. It is something that as far as history can tell us was started in India...but that's about it. Largemoose made some good points too. Well how else are people going to learn yoga? hatha yoga is just a system, and there is a lineage also that birthed hatha yoga to current form, but still does it really matter? If the yoga can help people then it's not a bad thing. Also, the sad part is that people wouldn't learn it if these businesses didn't promote their modified system of yoga.
