wow, thats impressive. I'm pretty sure this isnt a cheat, i have completed in 89 and dozens of 90-109. i think the slowest thing slowin my game down is that i've always flagged every mine while the top guys just go.

It's not a fake. Lanyjé was one of the fastest players for quite some time. Around the time he retired, Oliver Scheer and then Dion Tiu broke his records, which I believe were 1-12-41. By the way, I did not blow my brains out about this. As a relatively fast player myself (1-12-54), I was able to follow most of Lanyjé's moves. This game was the result of superior technique and practice, not cheating.

Ok, for everyone that is blowing there brains out about this: there is a program that take your time doing minesweeper. What it does is, it lets you do your minesweeper game without the time. Once your done, you can select how many seconds you want it and etc... Thats how he did it. the program is called cheat engine. It's complicated to do but that's what they did and what they used.

That's a cheat... the mouse jumps from square to square and clicks at a consistent rate... and it's scanning areas square by square.

I personally think that Lanyje's videos are faster than Dion Tiu's, even though Lanyje's times are slower... If he had played longer I am sure he would have the world record.

Its not cheating.. if you practice ALOT it becomes second nature to compete it that fast. Its like instinct or somethin. There is still luck tho cause there are some situations that require guesses

Lasse was probably just absorbing the fact that he'd just made another world record, that's all :) I've actually seen Dion Tiu get a 43 in expert, his record is 38. Crazy bugger. My best is 58, posted on youtube too.
