What people need to realize is that companies aren't in fact losing money... If you never plan to buy it then you're not going to give them your money. Long story short, companies don't lose money when you "copy" a game. Mostly people will copy it because retards like EA use DRM (Sony's Securom) when it doesn't even work!!! It just makes people who legitimately buy a game more trouble.

As long as people know that they can get things for free, they're going to do it. End of story. If companies don't want their stuff to be stolen, then they are going to have to do a better job protecting their product. But until then I'm going to keep downloading free music and games until that happens because I have to pay for gas.

If they released it at the same time everywhere, they wouldn't have this problem. Besides, only a tiny minority of people download illegaly. Most people will instead of downloading, watch TV, go to a Movie or Buy a DVD.

the only reason why piracy is illegal is because rich people loose money over it, if rich people can't make money off you then its illegal, thats capitalism, i say fuck rich people, its time that we start sharing and helping each other live equal and good lives, rich people know that thanks to piracy they will be less able to hold everyone else down, and they will no longer feel superior to us, this is why they are against piracy

Personally, I believe the future lies in small scale, inexpensive productions which are easy to recover the costs upon.

Hehe. no argument there :)
By: mpesce. on 21 Jan 08, 22:37:26
I expect that production companies based around that "extra billion" model are finding the pickings very thin and growing thinner.
By: Nocturne06. on 21 Jan 08, 18:51:52
As long as I get paid, I wouldnīt care if the production company doesnīt make an extra billion or two. The problem is that my paycheck is reduced because I canīt get a part of that extra billion. Call me greedy, but I do work and pay taxes, so I think I am entitled to what is supposed to have come to me! :(
