the new storm updates make it sooo much better! lag is way reduced and even the internet browser is faster! a lot of bugs were fixed. do a comparison with the updated storm

when the iphone came out it wasnt laggy. only after they updated the app store is when it started messing up. the Storms UI is nothing compared to the iphone. Much less responsive when it comes to the touch interface!

although I'm a BB owner and was particularly interested in the Storm, I must say that this phone is likely not going to be successful in 1st gen. I've tried it out, and it was preposterously slow. I was rather disappointed. I must add that more megapixels doesn't ensure better quality in a camera. The definition and the color quality weren't the best I've seen on a phone.

Well, convincing;) A week ago I bought a 2.0 Macbook - and I will exchange it to 2.4 model, becouse of too small HD capacity (I didn't knew iLife is so memory heavy) and for price 1300 CAD, they could give the backlit keyboard for f*ck's sake! At the beginning i was sceptic (for this moeny I can have Toshiba X300) but the more i used the more I come to realize how awesome piece of hardware it is. As for Mac OS X - only thing I can say for now is that it is user friendly;)

I do own a 2.4ghz Macbook. However, I have not put CoD4 on it. The Macbook is very quick and the dozens of videos showing Cod4 running on it lead me to believe it will run smoothly. Maybe I will make a video soon showing CoD4 on the Macbook with the specs of the computer, CoD4 specs, and the guesstimated specs for D2 and SC2. Well if you go look at videos of Cod4 and even Crysis on low setting this MacBook can run them. I doubt either will be as graphic intensive as Crysis. Plus Blizzard is always very good about keeping games at low specs and I doubt SC2 and D3 will be a problem for this thing.

there is an accelerometer, the phone is just not configured to use the accelerometer to rotate automatically on the web browser or the home/menu screens. But there are games that use the phone's accelerometer. rest assured, there will be third party apps that will allow rotation on the standby display(home screen) using the accelerometer. the only bad thing bout the phone is the battery life. other than that it fuckin sweet! u can download music from computer and put it on the phone, any pictures, and the browser is pretty quick. Because Apple said so. This is the only "smartphone" from ATT that actually requires a $30/month data plan. I've talked to reps from ATT and you can get a BlackBerry or Palm without a data plan by having a text message plan. You can get broadband internet for $30/month today and for what I will be using it for, this mandatory data plan was a deal breaker for me. I'm sure for some this is not a big deal but for just a personal phone I do not need a data plan.

Also, just a little side note. If you do buy an unlocked iPhone be prepared to pay around 2.5x as much as you would a locked (contract-based) iPhone. (Expect to pay between $500-700US) If you are absolutely 100% positive you want and will keep an iPhone for a few years then you should spend the extra money for an unlocked one, however if you are not sure or you are the person who likes a new phone every year you may lose money in the long run by buying a unlocked phone.

Yes you can, its called an "Unlocked" phone. I am not sure exactly where to find these in the States as AT&T has the exclusive contract with Apple, although I know people do have unlocked iPhones in the US. I think it is much easier to acquire an unlocked iPhone in Europe though as Apple is forced to unlock their phone in certain countries due to government restrictions. You might also check with mobile carriers in Sweden to see if the iPhone is offered there with a contract.

Technically you do not need WiFi to use the GPS system, however due to the fact that you need maps in conjunction with the GPS system, you must have some type of data connection (3G, Edge, or WiFi.) Unless there is a way in the future to load map data onto your iPhone memory you must have a data connection.

With AT&T in the US it will cost ~$200 for the 8GB version w/ a mandatory 2 year voice + 2 year data contract OR ~$300 for the 16GB version w/ a mandatory 2 year voice + 2 year data plan. I am not 100% certain on the prices of the voice plans because there are so many, however the data plan costs $30/month for unlimited data and 200 texts.

What do you guys think of the new iPhone 4G it launched out in Tokyo apparently and someone on youtube had a video of it but because Apple winged about that video youtube had to take it off which really sucks. it will not work for t-mobile yet, the dev team has to come up with an unlock for the 3g, but you can get the other iphones for tmobile, for 1 phone it will cost bought 80 bucks or so, for all the stuff you want. and if you get other iphone it will be like 300 - 400 unlocked...

i kinda wish i never bought my ps3 that early wasnt worth £400 about £150-£200 was spent on just the blu-ray dvd player built inside which i dont get cause people buy these consoles 4 games not 2 watch films. they should have made 2 diffent packs 4 it one with and one without the blu-ray init cause ive never used it since ive had it plus it would drop the price greatly.
