Al Gore is just a governmental stooge... Point #12 he urges people to become "politically active," but at the end of the video he says it isn't a political issue. Which is it Mr. Gore?
By: Xenophanes21. on 26 Nov 08, 15:56:20
I agree, the west had this false assumption in the history of society that we are here to manipulate and use nature. Eastern thought and native thought to a higher extent did not have this assumption. They understood our dependence on nature. We NEED to learn this from them. I love that Gore didn't just disappear after his vice presidency; like a lot of others. He did something with his name, he did more than he could as a president (in an academic sense, and opinion wise).
By: lemaitrethemonk. on 10 Nov 08, 01:56:48
wow...he didnt even mention faith at all in his speech. so the powers that be will tell you what they believe to make the original topic seem a bit false. being green is something that all of us can learn from. the native american culture had the ability to do this why cant we! to all that feel the ability to prove this subject false please do your research. doing nothing to promote a monetary value system is a disease that needs to have cure. its up to us to pass a torch of change...
By: jtbovis. on 24 Oct 08, 08:25:34
Agreed. Imagine how much better off the world would be if Al Gore had won the last election. I guess that's what happens when you have a born again Christian running for president in a country where around half its voters think the world is 6,000 years old.

I don't think your delusional just mistaken. The universe is a big place. We can not be the end all beings.
By: jordanswiener. on 25 Sep 08, 22:16:34
not to mention that I am delusional myself, so I'm not sure if we're really getting anywhere with this one.
By: CHARESTHEHAMER. on 25 Sep 08, 22:10:25
Yep anyone that disagrees with you is Delusional.
By: jordanswiener. on 25 Sep 08, 22:08:17
Delusional regarding his beliefs about god, but that has nothing to do with his message of climate awareness.
By: CHARESTHEHAMER. on 23 Sep 08, 00:27:05
He's a Baptist that makes him delusional according to you.
By: jordanswiener. on 21 Sep 08, 18:24:05
No, not really. His faith has nothing to do with whether or not he is right or not.
By: omglolzbbqsauce. on 03 Sep 08, 20:04:38
Looks like you guys picked the wrong president...GOOD JOB. Oh well the Germans did it once, i guess you guys didn't screw up too bad in comparison.
By: CHARESTHEHAMER. on 05 Jul 08, 18:22:20
The head of the enviromental movement is a practicing Baptist. That's got to be killing you atheists.

I apologize for my terrible insults to you in my accusations I did some research on him and saw how blind I was before, thank you hayseman for broadening my line of sight on the world of politics. (i'm serious)
By: fastcats3. on 25 Apr 08, 22:53:15
I have had the honor of being in front of this man as he spoke....I couldnt disagree with you more. In 2005, while Bush ate cake with McCain....Gore rented an American Airlines plane, gathered a group of doctors and nurses and actually evacuated elderly American citizens from New Orleans. Then he asked the press not to print his name or it would be politicized. I dont care if you hate this man, I have seen him up close and personal. I will never have more respect for any human being.
By: hayseman. on 18 Apr 08, 23:55:42
So you are saying that Bushie is an awsome president. You are not from this country are you? Or you live under a rock and totally oblivious to the world around you.
By: Plomomedia. on 13 Apr 08, 18:43:33
hilarious! But this year's TED talk is much more serious and much more ominous. ice caps are melting at record speed.
By: mjrev23. on 29 Mar 08, 14:31:59
Shut the fcuk up!
By: piecharthosen. on 27 Mar 08, 13:39:12
Al Gore rules. Imagine if he won the 2000 election what kind of world we would live in today. Blows up my mind when I think about it.

I would like to know how climatologists calculate their uncertainty. I wonder what the accuracy and precision of their models are. I haven't even heard a reasonable model for how the climate works beside "It's complicated."
