The Big Bang Theory is just the theory that makes the most sence in the thoretical sciences and those concerning observation. It is the only current theory that matches all the collected data and observations. It says that the universe suddenly came out of a super danse object such as a black hole. It is still in progress but only those smart enough like Stephen Hawking can grasp these concepts. But for the ordinary people, they don't understand all of it and think that it is a total lie.

I am in High School and have been very lucky to go to one of Hawking's last public lecture in June of 2008. I agree with you and I believe that he is a crazily smart person and has acomplished more for us than a very large portion of people will ever acomplish.
