Not necessarily, If it's a song with a bitrate of like 128kbps, and a song is say... 4 mins then one song takes up (128*240)/(8*1024)=3.75mB. Next, the 256mB is in the industry tricking number of *1000 rather than *1024, so formatted it would be about (256*(1000^3))/(1024^3)=238mB. 238mB divided by a song at 3.75mB makes 63ish, which works out right. Not to mention, the OS on some of the players could take up about 5mB, bringing the 63 down to nearer 60, so it is 60, depending on quality.

256mb 60 songs??? wtf... wat a lier a normal cd with about 15-20 songs is about 60mb.. so a mp3 with 256 mb... shud hold about like 90 songs or soo.. i remeber mine from back in the day an how much it held.. i even remember my 512 mb mp3 holing almost 200..(this one was fuckin sweet it was an rca or sumthin that had a mem card slot too.. it was PERFECT** for like joggin and bike riding etc..)
